New Bionic Leg Brings Hope to Amputees

The prosthetics offered to leg amputees has advanced over time, but many still have difficulty walking and enjoying their lives. However, a new bionic leg developed at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago could change that. The new leg design can detect tiny electrical signals in the leg muscles that can command the motors in the leg to move accordingly.
