Got Knee Pain? Sleep It Off
As people reach their golden years, many of them can experience stiff and painful joints due to osteoarthritis. Much of the time, the disease likes to settle in the knee joint. A new study is shows that a simple remedy can help ease their knee pain: more sleep.
Dr. Claudia Campbell of John’s Hopkins University School of Medicine says that, according to her team’s study, “those with low sleep efficiency and higher catastrophizing have the greatest central sensitization.” In other words, the less sleep you get, the more sensitive you are to pain. So add an extra hour or so each night in order to alleviate pain in the morning. For more details on this study, please click here:: Better Sleep, Less Knee Pain
