Fat Loss on Feet Can Be Painful

As we age, we lose the fat padding in our foot’s ball and insole. This is called
“plantar fat pad atrophy” and it can cause foot pain and increased callouses on the bottoms of feet. There are ways to inject fat into the bottom of your feet to regain the cushion, but many find that an orthotic or padded insole can solve most cases.
